This hardy, specimen tree is covered with lovely purple buds in mid-spring, that open to fragrant pink blossoms. 	Korean Maple, Acer pseudosieboldianum Also known as Purplebloom Maple. The stunning fall color, lacey green leaves, compact size, delicate look, and slow growth rate make the Korean Maple a very hardy substitute for Japanese Maple. Also known as Purplebloom Maple due to the tiny magenta flowers in early spring. In the fall, the foliage turns vivid shades of oranges, reds, and yellows. 	Northern Red Oak, Quercus rubra This fast-growing oak is one of the easiest to transplant and is great for street use or a landscape tree. 	Zelkova: 'Green Vase' Japanese Zelkova has a distinctive, broad, vase shape that is attractive and unlike most other trees. It has medium-sized, dark green leaves that turn soft yellow, orange in autumn, depending on the weather. Mature trees develop interesting, flaking bark with patches of gray, tan and reddish brown. 	Japanese Maple, Acer palm. 'Tamukeyama' is a weeping variety with purple foliage that grows to 8' tall and 7' wide at maturity. We have amazing, fully mature specimens in stock! 'Bloodgood' and 'Emperor 1' are upright varieties that retain their wine-red leaves throughout the summer, turning scarlet in the fall. These varieties grow 15-20' tall.
	Serviceberry 'Autumn Billiance' Amelanchier An ideal, Native specimen tree in small gardens, hedge or screen. This Serviceberry is covered with clusters of white flowers in spring. Fothergilla is most appreciated for weeks of multicolored display of yellows, oranges, and reds in autumn. In spring and summer its foliage is deep blue green. White, bottlebrush flowers in spring have a honey scent.

'Mount Airy' will reach 6' tall. 'Blue Shadow and 'Blue Mist' have blue summer leaves and reach only 2-3' tall.

This vigorous, quick growing variety makes a crisp, pollution-tolerant hedge. The small, oval, bright green leaves provide dense cover, and clusters of white flowers appear in July and August followed by shiny, round, black fruit.

Thriving in sun or shade, the lustrous, dark green foliage of Privet is not evergreen however but it is an excellent, faster growing, substitute for Boxwood.

Physocarpus

Physocarpus 'Summer Wine' is a popular improved variety that has wine colored foliage. It is fast growing and the graceful, arching habit makes it very appealing in the landscape. It adds beautiful color and vibrancy to your garden, especially in spring. In early June it blooms with white button-like flowers that accent the leaves nicely. Exfoliating bark adds winter interest. 	Little Leaf Boxwood, Buxus micro. A landscape anchor and garden designer’s dream! Deer resistant, hardy and versatile, they look fantastic in hedges and accents, containers and topiary. These specimen shrubs provide interest all year, are perfect for foundation planting, and can be planted in formal and informal gardens alike. Can be pruned for clean lines although you are more likely to see their adorable white flowers if left unpruned. Protect from harsh winter winds.
	'Vintage Gold' and 'Golden Mop' Threadleaf Cypress chamaecyparis The finely textured, sunny foliage of the winning ‘Golden Mop’ and 'Vintage Gold' develops vibrant new spring growth that retains its brilliance and shines in the garden all year. 	Hinoki Falsecypress chamaecyparis obtusa Excellent accent or specimen plant in a partly shaded area. Unique irregular upright form. Semi-dwarf habit makes it super versatile, no pruning or trimming makes it a must have! Uniquely shaped deep green evergreen foliage keeps color through winter months for year-round interest. Little maintenance required.
	Golden Hinoki Falsecypress chamaecyparis obtusa 'Crippsii' This garden classic is a compact, loosely conical tree with lovely golden fern-like foliage. It is one of the most elegant small golden conifers, and makes an excellent specimen plant for home gardens. Uniquely shaped golden, evergreen foliage keeps color through winter months for year-round interest. Little maintenance required.
	Winter creeper, Euonymus fort. A beautifully variegated shrub with a low, spreading form. Many varieties are available and all work well as a border, hedge or accent. Evergreen shrub is highlighted by rich green variegated leaves. ‘Ivory Jade’ (shown) has ivory white margins that are tinged with pink in colder weather. Great contrast plant. Other varieties we stock are: ‘Sunrise’, ‘Moonshadow’ and ‘Manhattan’
	Inkberry, Ilex glabra Selected for its rounded habit, slow-growing nature, lustrous bright green leaves. Fragrant white inconspicuous flowers and small black berries in fall. Inkberry adapts to a wide range of growing conditions; best in full to partial sun. Can be selectively pruned but not sheared. Great for hedges, mixed borders and foundation plantings.
	Blue Holly, Ilex meserve An exceptionally hardy, vigorous, broadleaf evergreen that makes a great specimen along walkways or border plantings. Lovely blue-green pointed leaves that retain their color year round. A true holly look in a dense, bushy plant with bright red berries. Must have male pollenator for best berry set. We stock 'Blue Maid', 'Blue Princess', 'China Girl' and their male pollinators
	Juniper There are a large number of Juniper shrubs. All have attractive green or blue-green needles and blue berries they also all are hardy and tough plants that even deer avoid. There are creeping types that grow no more than a few feet tall, but spread like a carpet. Many small to medium-sized junipers make great landscape shrubs in borders. Large Juniper can be used as visual screens or barriers in the landscape. Tall, columnar varieties look like small trees.
	Mountain Laurel, Kalmia lat. Mountain Laurel are beautiful slow growing evergreen shrubs that come in many blossom colors and sizes. Blooming occurs in late spring, starting with bright buds that gradually enlarge until they burst open revealing a rich interior. They do well in full sun or light shade and if left unpruned could grow to 5’ tall and wide. Mountain Laurel combines well with sun loving rhododendrons and azaleas.
	Fetterbush, Leucothoe Unique evergreen shrub! Gracefully arching, striking red stems with colorful, creamy white and green mottled foliage with scarlet accents. Showy, drooping clusters of white flowers add a nice touch to cut arrangements. Effective as hedge, or clip to create an attractive groundcover. A beautiful, natural woodland companion to rhododendrons and ferns.
	Siberian Cypress, microbiota dec. This low growing, wide spreading shrub has a juniper-like appearance with bright spearmint green, feathery, scale-like foliage that develops a brown-purple hue in cold weather. A graceful, yet hardy evergreen that is well-suited for use in rock gardens or massed as lush, easy-care groundcover.
	Andromeda, Pieris Noted for its ‘fiery’ red young foliage, the Mountain Fire Japanese Andromeda is a broadleaf evergreen shrub that is excellent as a foundation plant or for groupings in the landscape. Their lovely drooping flowers are a welcome feature. Like all Pieris, Mountain Fire is a slow-growing evergreen that performs best in well-drained soil in partially shady conditions. They can be pruned to maintain a neat form. We also stock other Andromeda varieties.
	Yew, Taxus med. An excellent evergreen shrub for small hedges and taller varieties make great privacy screens. All Yews have dense, glossy, dark green foliage which are available in low- wide habit or taller columnar forms. All work well as a foundation plants, or placed in pairs at entries or doorways. Deer browsing could be a problem in rural areas.
